Can I Ship Personal Effects With My Vehicle?

Whilst we are happy to accept some personal effects with your car, please be aware that these can only be stowed in the boot area and back seat, as the driver and passenger side of the vehicle must be kept clear.

 

Personal effects will incur a small charge for customs clearance at your chosen destination. If you intend to take effects with you, please ask the office for a detailed clearance cost.

 

Any effects must be clearly noted down on an inventory list that needs to handed to us prior to shipment.

 

Please under no circumstances pack any of the following goods – your vehicle may be impounded at the destination and sent back to its origin at your cost if any of these items are shipped.

What Vehicles Do You Accept For Shipment?

We move any type of vehicle, from cars and 4×4s to caravans, vans and bikes. If your vehicle type is not listed then simply contact us for a quote. We even accept non running vehicles for a small surcharge.

How Do I Get a Quotation?

Simply enter your details into our Instant Quote form to receive an instant quotation 24 hours a day. We also guarantee the validity of the quote for a massive 60 days.

What Is Included in the Price?

Unlike a lot of other operators, the price we quote is the price you pay, no hidden extras.

What Is Not Included in the Price?

Simply any local duties and taxes due on arrival and any further quarantine costs payable if your vehicle fails the quarantine inspection, which are beyond our control.

How Do I Pay?

Unlike other companies, we don’t demand full payment up front. Instead, you pay 50% on booking and the remaining 50% on arrival. Payment will be automatically requested 5 days from the arrival of the vessel and a reminder given upon arrival. The balance needs to be paid without delay so that we can get the vehicle cleared through customs, otherwise storage charges will be incurred.

How Do I Hand the Vehicle Over to You?

Simply deliver your vehicle to one of our conveniently located depots up and down the country, or we can arrange collection from you.

What Documentation Do I Need?

In order for us to ship your vehicle we require:

 

  • V5 Registration Certificate or Certificate of Permanent Export if you have already notified the DVLA (scanned copy).

 

  • Photo ID of your driving licence and passport (scanned copy).

 

  • Sales/purchase receipt as proof of ownership.

 

  • Full inventory, if shipping personal effects.

 

Please ensure you have ensured that your vehicle is eligible for entry to the destination prior to arranging shipment.

Do I Need To Insure My Vehicle?

Whilst we take the utmost care of your vehicle when it is in our possession, we strongly recommend you take advantage of our ‘all risks’ Marine Insurance for extra peace of mind. 

Do I Need To Drain the Fuel Tank and Disconnect the Battery?

As we declare all our shipments as hazardous, you need to ensure the fuel gauge registers ¼ full or less. Furthermore, there is no need to disconnect your battery.

Do I Need to Clean My Vehicle?

Yes, it is in your own interest to ensure the car is as clean as possible inside and out when it is delivered to us so that it complies with strict quarantine regulations at the majority of destinations. Otherwise, it may fail its inspection and become liable for cleaning charges at destination.

What Happens After the Vessel Has Sailed?

We will provide you with a Bill of Lading as proof of export, which will contain the contact details for our overseas agent. We will also confirm shipment to you via email with the expected arrival date and contact details.

How Long Will It Take for My Vehicle to Arrive?

As volume movers of cargo, we can offer you guaranteed weekly departures to every destination we serve. Once your vehicle arrives at its destination, it will take 3-5 days, subject to no complications, to get your vehicle cleared through quarantine and customs.

Can I Track My Shipment Online?

Yes we offer a tracking facility online for your vehicle.

What Happens When the Vehicle Arrives?

Prior to when the vessel arrives at the destination port, our appointed partners will contact you to arrange customs and quarantine formalities. They will guide you through the whole process and also provide assistance in valuation to help reduce tax and compliance.

Do I Have Any Payments to Make When My Vehicle Arrives at its Destination?

Our price is fully inclusive. The only additional cost you will incur are any local duties and taxes, if applicable, and any additional quarantine inspection fee which is outside of our direct control. Furthermore, once cleared through customs, you will be responsible for any local registration or modification fee’s prior to being able to use your car on the road.
